The Restaurant
After a dinner at South Yarra, my friends Jacey, Yu Jie & Jason suggested to go to this place for desserts. And I must say, their cakes are simply spectacular!!!!
The restaurant were packed at 9pm. We were lucky enough to squeeze into a table for five :) The service was superb and fast. Since we only ordered a bottle of Moscato & two pieces of cakes and sat there fore 1.5 hours or so, (normally the restaurant will signal you to get out of their busy restaurants LOL), the waitresses refilled our water glasses even before we finished them :)
Shall come back next time for their Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner menu + Desserts again :)
What to Eat?
A glass of Moscato for the night? :)
Sienna Tiramisu $12.50 in an elegant glass! :) YUMMEH!!!!!!!!!
The king of the night - Chocolate Fudge Cake served warm!!! :) It is so rich but not too sweet and it is just to die for :DDD

The Restaurant
Finding a restaurant that has spaces for you without booking on a Saturday night could be hard.
Trying our luck, we came to the doorsteps of Movida Aqui. And YAY we were shown two seats at the bar, Yay I dont mind that :)
It turned out that, Movida has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants. Friendly service (appreciate the fact that the waiter actually took the time to explain the menu to us and even made recommendations without us asking); good ambiance and great food! :)
Menu, might seems a lot to take in at the first glance :O
Bustled with activities :)
What to Eat?
Complimentary bread with olive and sea salt to start? :D
ANCHOA $4.50 each. Hand-filleted Cantabrian Artisan Anchovy on Crouton with Smoked Tomato Sorbet. Can i have more of this please? :) The saltiness and crunchiness just hit home :)
BOCADILLO DE CALAMARES $7.00 each Calamari sandwich with Basque Guindilla and Mayonnaise. This cute little burger tasted not bad at all!! Like the well cooked calamari!! :)
The slow roasted lamb. This dish is the winner!!! Like the gravy and the lamb is so TENDER!!! :D
BUTIFARRA $21.50 House Made Catalan Pork Pepper Sausage with Chickpeas and House Made Morcilla. The dish is a bit dry for my liking, would like a bit more gravy to go with the sausage :) Other than that, the sausage is packed with meat! :)
HELADOS $14.50 Homemade Ice Creams Served with Fig Bread. Icecream is smooth and the fid bread is fragrant and crunchy, something that I havent tried before :)

This restaurant is located just beside Red Spice Road. And as you would expect, this restaurant is no cheap eat.
This restaurant is very different from other Korean restaurants. The decoration is just great!!!

What to Eat?
They have a variety of Set Menus to be chosen from! We ordered a set menu for two. (Completely forgotten about the price, but I know it is not cheap.)
Pan-fried dumplings. Too much for 2 people? :)
BBQ! Ok this picture doesn't do the BBQ justice. The best thing is that they do the BBQ cooking and cutting in front of you! :)
They have other dishes included in the set menu (but Im just too hungry and gobbled them down without taking any photos). This is Cold Noodle. one of the desserts. I don't like this though, too chewy for my liking. The noodle just doesn't seem want to be swallowed!! =_=
Black sesame and green tea icecream. GOSH this is GOLD!!!! YUMMY TO THE MAX!

We walked past this place twice and still not able to locate it!!!! HAHA. The exterior of the building is pretty run-down. And the dining room is actually on the first floor. The ground floor is a pub, which could be very happening at night (especially when you are talking about Brunswick Street!)
We came here for a banquet dinner for Committee Appreciation. This got to be one of the most affordable 3-course-meal banquet places in Melbourne! The function pack (entree-main-desserts) is $52! Compared to other restaurants which would need at least $90+.
What to Eat?
Fish with ricotta? :)
Crispy skin pork belly, apple puree, cos and walnut salad. This is quite YUM!
Grilled Hopkins River Beef Rump with olive crushed potatoes, spinach and salsa verde. HMMM the steak is a bit DRY and overcooked :(
Pan fried king prawns with roasted red peppers, couscous salad, chermoula and almonds. YUM :)
Vanilla Cheesecake with Coconut Sorbe. Quite yum as well :)

Best Brunch experience up to date!
Despite a waiting period of 15 minutes (and the table is fairly close to each other, and massive damage to the pockets), the food is SUPERB and definitely worth the bucks! A MUST GO!
Cosy environment

Complimentary Sourdough Bread as starter
Wagyu bresaola, beetroot, dill and horseradish cream. OMG YUM YUM**
Tuna with green peas. Insanely good!!!!!!
