The Restaurant BIRDMAN, what a unique name :) As such, their restaurant deco and website design are well and truly reflecting this. (It could get a little scary I must admit).
At the corner of the street when the tram to Brunswich Street turns, which is pretty convenient and accessible by tram, we took a stroll here from Royal Exhibition Building instead. Not a bad morning walk and lots of interesting shops and restaurants :)
Birdman's interior :)
What to Eat? We could have tried their famous baked eggs, but they are $20!! Haha, so we opted for something else:
Mocha babe!
A big glass of Hot Chocolate. If you think it is diluted, think again. After stirring, it is quite sweet and thick! :)
El Grande Cerdo $18.5-
Black Pudding with bubble & squeak, poached eggs, toast and pear & date chutney. Seems like a lot of things is going on in one dish :D The Black Pudding is well cooked but too bad I m not a big fan of Black Pudding.
Welsh rarebit.$9.50 We thought the name is interesting and hence ordered it. It turned out to be cheese on toast with sprinkle of onions. A bit disappointed :O

The Restaurant I have this thing for Greek food. So as I was searching online for good Greek restaurants, names like Hellenic Republic, Stalactites and this, Aspro Ble popped up. 95% likes on Urbanspoon and it is in CBD!
Aspro Ble means Blue White in Greek. And indeed the restaurant's decoration lives up to its name, where you could find cute blue and white tables and chairs.
Situated near Hardware Lane, this restaurant is packed. Bookings is essential. Been here once but being turned away because the restaurant is fully booked. What to Eat? This is one of the good quality and reasonably-priced Greek restaurants in CBD. The food is great, although i craved for a bigger portion for their dishes.
And sorry about the quality of the photos, left my bulky DSLR at home :P
Fetta + Ricotta Cheese Balls with capsicum Aioli $13. I couldnt have enough of this! This outer layer is crispy, with yummy cheese engulfed within :)
How could you not try their infamous Slow Roasted Lamb with Garlic Yogurt Dressings. Damaged done $22. Perfecto Lamb, so tender! I wish the serving of the sauce could be more generous though.
(Half) Butterflied Oregano & Lemon Chargrilled Chicken with Mulberry Vinegar dressing $20. Hmm, this dish is a bit too heavy flavoured and oily to my likings :O But i guess the salad on top made it up.
OMG their home-made Baclava is to die for if you like sweet stuff!! :) and the coconut ice cream and nuts are just perfect!! :)

The Restaurant - Awarded The Age Best Pizzeria in 2010, it has certainly established itself as one of the best pizzerias in Melbourne. - Do make a reservation OR go early (like we did, 6pm, and the restaurant is pretty full by then)
- The restaurant decoration is simple. They do have some funky pizza flavours that raised my eyebrows, such as Broccolli Pizza and Truffle pizza!? HUH What to Eat? PIZZA DUH Da menu! :) - Start off with a MIXED DEGUSTATION (Best of both world; try the Cheese and the Cured Meat!) AUD $26; Aussie Style lol. Feel like I’m back at Victoria Market Meat & Cheese section! It can be get pretty salty so order a focaccia to go with that! -SOLE E LUNA: Half Calzone filled with Leg Ham; and Mozarella AND half Margherita; The calzone is interesting (with melted cheese and slices of ham inside, yummy); but the margherita is a bit dry and salty - SALSICCIA: Tomatoes; Mozzarella; Italian Berkshire Sausages; Porcini mushroom and Parmesan; Pretty Meaty! And a bit too heavy flavoured for me!t -MAXI SWEET PIZZA: Hmmmm. Sorry to disappoint, it tasted just like a pizza with nutella and strawberry topping. Nothing too special to boast about. Mercadante Chocolate Pizza is better :P How to Go? When to Go? Opening Hours: Mon: 7am-10pm Tue: 7am-10pm Wed: 7am-10pm Thu: 7am-10pm Fri: 7am-10pm Sat: 7am-10pm Sun: CLOSED
The Restaurant
Instead of going for the (overrated, according to my Sydney friends) Chat Thai for Thai food, we went to Spice I Am, a top 10 Thai Restaurants in Sydney according to Urbanspoon :)
My friend and I walked past this restaurant, not noticing it =_= apparently we were the first few customers, and the queue got pretty insane afterwards :O
I wouldnt have noticed this restaurant & sign if not for Google Map :O
What to Eat?
The Menu...
Pretty JiYan from Sydney!
Thanks Look for letting me to crash your house with a short notice :)
Jungle Curry, as its name implies, it comprises of mainly HERBS =_=ll not really my cup of tea =/
Crispy Pork Belly, BEST DISH OF THE DAY YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYY MUST TRY!!!
Pla Tod Ka Min FISHHHHH :)))) nice to eat individually but a trouble to share :O :))))c

The Restaurant
We would normally go here for its dimsum (yum-cha during the afternoon), for their dimsums are pretty consistent! (despite sometimes slow service). This time it is our friend's birthday and we decided to go for their ala carte menu instead!
The restaurant is as always busy (and crowded with Australian rather than Asian, I wonder why :O)
Interior of Shark Fin House, not to be confused with Shark Fin Inn, which is just a few street up along Little Bourke Street.
What to Eat?
Surprise, surprise, their menu is in English :P And they have banquet menu as well :) (despite a little bit too pricey for stingy Asian like us)
The menu...
Fried Coral Trout Fillets with Garlic & Five Spicy Chilli. A little bit too dry and would appreciate some gravy =/
A forgotten dish :O
PRIME PORK RIBS? Deep Fried with Sweet & Sour Sauce if not mistaken? :O THIS IS GREAT!!!
Spinach with Thousand & Salted Eggs with Stock. Hmm couldnt really taste the salted eggs =/
A Selection of Fresh Seafood, Vegetables & Beancurd Baked in a Hot Pot. YUM YUM YUM

The Restaurant
Cosy little Korean place famous for its beer, and believe it or not, the famous fried chicken in town! Could potentially beat KFC!
Having two outlets (one near Flagstaff Garden, another near Exhibition/Little Lonsdale St), Gami does provide home-delivery too! What to Eat?
Gami's Menu. Simple & Nice. Gami famous beer. YUM indeed! :) Refreshing with a tinge of bitterness :) Seafood & Spring Onion Pancake! Just OK. A bit bland to be honest. Teok Bok Ki - Rice Cakes + Fish Cakes + Vegetables + Noodles. Pretty YUM, came with salad too!! :) YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR FRIED CHICKEN! (DUH!) Half-Half, best of both world, get to choose 2 flavours from: Original; Chili or Soy Sauce. These are Original & Chili Flavoured! How to Go?

The Restaurant This is insane! We arrived at the restaurant at around 6pm and the restaurant was already packed with people!!! Thanks to the recent hype built up by bloggers and reviews!
Since no bookings is allowed, be there earlier (like 530pm) to avoid the long queue. (and I think this piece of advice has just worsen this self-perpetuating cycle of earlier dinner time at Chin Chin)
Luckily enough, we managed to get a table for 7 people after a wait for less than 5 minutes. The trade off is, we have to squeeze in a table normally designed for 4 people and has to finish our meal by 715pm.
Busy Busy Busy. Despite this, our waiter is pretty attentive and patient! :)
Chin Chin - A fusion of Asian and Western culinary? :)
The bar and the BIG mirror :)
What to Eat? They changed their menu the very day we were here at the restaurant. 15 November!
The famous Eggnet has disappeared from the menu :(
BUT YOU HAVE TO TRY their CARAMELIZED STICKY PORK! This is insanely nice! Crispy, generous sauce and is appetizing!
Heard KingFish Sashimi is one of the popular dishes of the restaurant too :)
Da new menu
Complimentary egg with oyster from chef! :)
Pork Roll Up! :D Tasted like Malaysian Popiah! You have to wrap this yourself! :))) This is pretty good in my view despite some reviews saying that this dish is a bit overrated.
Stir fired asparagus & oyster mushroom (Vegetarian friendly). Like the asparagus much!
Wok fried Cuttlefish with Papaya Salad. gosh this is a bit spicy for me =__= But it is a appetizing if you like spicy stuff :)
Massaman Curry of Coconut Braised Hopkins River Beef Brisket with pink fur apple potators & crispy shallot! YUM! A lot of textures! Like seriously!!! :)
Aromatic Penang Curry (V) YUMMM with thai eggplant & sweet potatoes :D yesh we have a vegetarian on our table :)
Jeng Jeng Jeng the Oscar of the night: CARAMALISED STICKY PORK THIS IS A MUST ORDER!! Crispy, appetizing & saucy :)
Great dining experience! Would definitely come back! :) How to Go? When to Go? Opening Times: n/a Open for Lunch & Dinner. (For dinner go EARLY! like 530pm!)
The Restaurant Hidden at the quieter side of Chinatown alley, the restaurant claims to be Melbourne's FIRST Korean Restaurant in its website.
REALLY!??? The restaurant doesn't look that old to me. Haha.
Pretty decent meal :)
What to Eat? Table BBQ!!!! Everyone is eating that!!!! And they have a lot of BBQ Banquet to be picked from!!!
But instead of Table BBQ, we order individual dishes to share among 4 people: Oh nom nom nom free Banchan :D Beef with Rice Cake in Soy Sauce. Pretty decent, rice cake is chewy :) Seafood Hotpot. We ordered too much and in the end we were just too full to finish up this dish =/ Korean seafood pancake. Decent but would like it to be a bit thicker though. Soy Chicken Dop Bap. This is quite good! How to Go? When to Go? Opening Hours: Mon: 10am-late Tue: 10am-late Wed: 10am-late Thu: 10am-late Fri: 10am-late Sat: 11am-late Sun: 11am-late

The Restaurant
With so many "Izakaya" restaurants in Melbourne, we stumbled upon this after not being able to get a place at Izakaya Den.
This restaurant is quite spacious (with two floors) and is suitable for a large group of people!!! (could easily fit in a group of more than 20 people!)
What to Eat? Try their Skewers!!!! Ox tongue yakitori; grilled ox tongue marinated in miso; chicken skewers grilled with teriyaki sauce! [Wish I found this out earlier!]
And if you fancy a bottle of sake, they have a variety of sake in house ! :)
Wafu Steak! This is GREAT! You have to try this to believe :D The sauce is awesome I could eat bowls of rice with it :) Karisu Don (beef is tenderly cook & easy to swallow. Suitable for lazy people like me who don't fancy chewing much ) Lunch Bento Box!! Definitely worth the bucks!!! Plus you get to choose 3 side dishes :) How to Go? When to Go? Unable to find a seat at Darac, we came here instead. It is just a few shopfront from Darac on ABeckett :)
Pretty decent restaurant, service is fast, although Darac is still the best!
What to Eat? They have really CHEAP Lunch Deal!! Try their Bentos!!!
We ordered dishes to share for 9 people. And sorry I didnt really take a lot of photos.
Rice Cake yum yum. BiBimBap! This is the first time i see BiBimBap in a Korean restaurant in CBD!?? The rice is a bit dry but generally is OK. How to Go? When to Go? Opening Hours: n/a Mon: Lunch-Late Tue: Lunch-Late Wed: Lunch-Late Thu: Lunch-Late Fri: Lunch-Late Sat: Lunch-Late Sun: Lunch-Late
